How much does it cost to replace broken roof tiles?

Why tile replacement varies
Swapping a broken tile sounds like a fixed-price job, but the variables are access, matching and how the tile is fixed. A nailed or clipped unit part-way up a roof takes longer to deal with than a loose one near the eaves.
Matching matters on older roofs. Where a covering is no longer produced, reclaimed units may be needed, and sourcing takes longer than the fitting.
Checking why it broke
A single broken tile is often just impact or age. Several broken tiles in one area usually indicates something else — foot traffic, a failing batten, or movement in the structure.
It is worth having that established during the repair rather than replacing the same units again later.
