When roofing work touches a party wall
Party wall procedures can be relevant where work involves cutting into, altering or building off a shared wall — for example forming flashings into a party wall or work at a parapet between terraced or semi-detached properties.
Ordinary re-covering that does not affect the shared structure usually falls outside those procedures.

Talk to your neighbour early whatever the legal position; access for scaffolding is often needed and goodwill is easier to arrange in advance.
